About Me
My name is Melissa Nesbitt and I am a full-stack software engineer with a passion for problem-solving and building user-focused applications.
I have experience working with JavaScript, React, Express.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, in addition to HTML and CSS. My current projects are:
- A single-page application that allows users to create and purchase fast-food orders, leveraging reusable React Components, React Router and Redux. Follow my progress: Order Up! GitHub
- A dynamic newsfeed designed for users to take a deep-dive into what's going on in their neighborhood, using Express.js to send and route Axios calls from a number of 3rd-party APIs. Follow my progress: Block Party GitHub
I have a background in business and program management and am passionate about cross-functional collaboration and streamlining processes to improve results. I hope to lend my talents to a socially-conscious organization with a strong foundation of team collaboration.
